Multivitamins
So every time I take my multivitamin I feel like I am going to throw up! My surgeon said take only one in the morning and one at night. I did that and not even 5 minutes later I was in the bathroom dry heaving.( I hate vomiting so I do everything I can not to). I have the Celebrate 36 chewable vitamins. Any suggestions? I am 2 weeks post op and having no problems at all with drinking or eating anything. FYI people Boston Chowda Companys lobster bisque has 11 grams of protein for just 2 oz! I add a tablespoon of the unjury unflavored protein powder to it for even more!
If you're taking them on an empty stomach, perhaps try eating something small beforehand. Also, I never had a chewable from the very beginning. A pill may go down easier, slowly, but stay down anyway. Another alternative would be vitamin patches.

I also cannot stomach them :( I use the patchmd patches, and so far they seem to be working. My first round of blood work was good, except for my D. So I added the D patch. I just cannot take the vitamins without being sick, even 6 months post-op! Good luck, I hope the patches work for you too :) Also, you can often find coupon codes on these forums if you search for it.

Only time I get sick is with my prescription meds. I tried a chewable vitamin at first, couldn't do it. Now I take the gummy version and I've had no problems at all.
Good luck

I take the same vitamins and they make me queasy as well, but only for a few minutes and mainly on an empty stomach. Lately, I've been biting off half a vitamin and taking it right after I eat something, and that seems to make it much better. Not sure it makes a whole lot of difference when you take them, as long as they get in there somehow. :)
I wear a vitamin patch- and they have worked awesomly well for me. Prior to the patch my iron and vitamin d were always low, and now everything is spot on. Here is a link. I also use the calcium plus D3 patch.

I use the PatchMD as well.......multis and Omega 3......my doctor said to wait til my 6 month blood test results to see if I need anything else but she thinks the two I'm taking right now should be good.........I'm terrible with pills - no queasiness, but I have a really bad gag reflex.
Good luck....I hope some of these answers have helped you
