Day after surgery
Well I survived the surgery! I absolutely hate going under anesthesia.
I got up an hour out of recovery for my 1st walk and several times since. Already had my X-ray this morning to make sure there are no leeks. Had to drink the disgusting contrast slime during the X-ray, yuck
All in all, I feel pretty good. Not much pain although both my shoulders hurt - kind of weird but I think my doctor told me that would happen because they fixed the hiatel hernia too.
I am excited to get out of the hospital, get home and start my new life!

I'm so glad to hear that you are doing so well. I wasn't up and ready to post until the 5th day post op! So you are doing great.
Welcome to the loser's bench! there's plenty of room because we are all getting smaller!

So glad you are doing well. Shoulder pain can come from the gas they use to inflate your belly during surgery. Walk it off.
over six years ago I had a really easy surgery with minimal pain and by day two I was ready to rock and roll. Worst part was the protein drinks. Be glad for your easy surgery and get ready to become slim! All the best. Diane
Congrats! Just an FYI, I had to do a contrast also for another reason on day 2 and it gave me severe diarrhea, the kind you don't know is coming....be careful lol

Had surgery five days before you on Monday the 20th, I was also told to expect soreness for two days and the inability to move but I was up and walking within an hour after returning to my room. Felt very good ever since and I'm down 30 pounds in six days. I wish you much continued success, we're going to do this together.
