Even a year later less fatty food gets stuck. Food like ribeye or chicken thighs are easier for me to eat. Chicken breast is still...ughhh. I can't stand it. I have to eat it with broth or a "dip" like hummus. I tend to use broth since it's lower-calorie. Generally I eat moderate to higher fat meats so it's rarely an issue.
Eating slowly helps, too. I definitely notice more discomfort if I eat too fast because the food is almost never chewed as well as when I eat slowly.
I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!

Food that is too dry tends to go down slower & feels stuck sometimes. In the past I used to wa**** down with water, post op that's a no go. Chew slower, smaller bites, & make sure its moist & not overcooked. Chicken breast is a problem for me if I overcook it.

Avoid dry proteins. Scrambled eggs overly cooked does it, well done hamburger, etc. Chew very well. Eat protein with sauces or some type of moisture when possible. Braise, slow cook, or pressure cooking also helps.
