Not getting enough protein
If it makes you feel better, I am in the same place you are.
Day 13 post op and I am still trying to get more than 30oz of liquid. If I try protein it is much harder and I get less liquids in. Today I was able to keep down 6oz of a protein shake but at the expense of water.
I have tried Isopure - which tastes good but I think the heavy protein water doesn't sit well in my stomach just yet.
Anyhow - good luck. I think we are all a bit different depending on how large the stomach was after surgery, how swollen it is and what is going on around us. I hope you and I are chugging down smoothies in a few weeks!
Every day you will be able to drink a little more and get your protein in. I really don't think anyone hits the goals for a few weeks. Also, remember that your protein drink also counts towards your water/liquid goals so you may be closer than you think in hitting the numbers.
Best wishes to you all,
Lynn

I'm about the same stage as you. I found a concentrated cream of chicken soup. I dilute it with skim milk and add a scoop of Musclegen Research protein powder. It's unflavored and mixes well in hot liquids and has 30g of protein in a 1T scoop. So with all this, a 12 oz serving gives me about 54 g of protein... and it's heaven to eat something savory!
I also found Muscle Milk - small cartons of pre-mixed protein drinks - about 10 oz - that have 25 g of protein.
Good luck!
