How many calories and protein per day?
I have been working on getting back on track. Tough last year and am working hard to get myself together.....I had usually eaten around 800 calories per day when I was on track....couldn't begin to say how many of late. This last week I have been doing pretty good at between 600-800....I haven't been hungry, dense protein mostly 70grams, 80 oz of liquids. So I am just wondering what is your average daily calorie and protein count .... curiosity.
Thanks
During my nutrition class the teacher said we should focus on getting in protein and water, and keeping sugar down. Not to bother looking at any other info like calories, salt, etc.
She gave us the guidelines as follows
- Men
- 80-100g protein a day
- 64+ oz water a day
- Women
- 60-80g protein a day
- 64+ oz water a day
The only other thing she said is drink supplements (protein) should be 20+g protein and

Thanks for the information, I have lost 3 lbs this week, yeah water weight ..... but weight is weight....keeping good food choices available and with it being just my husband and I now, he is also eating mostly protein even though he doesn't have a weight problem. Yesterday I got in 69 grams protein and 80 oz of water....that is going to be my target on a daily basis.
Thanks again I appreciate your input.
Awesome job! Hey, in my mind weight is weight. It's all a burden on our body whether it's fat, muscle or water :)

I maintain at about 1400 to 1500 per day. I need to be under 1000 calories per day to lose weight, and that is hard to do these days.
best wishes,
Carol

I find it hard too especially when I am not working and I don't work in June or July. So I have been trying to keep busy cleaning, yard work and finding new recipes to try that are wls friendly. Found a few sites on Pinterest that have helped. Still fresh on this restart to get back on track but I'm working it.
Thanks for your reply....best to you too.
