Sushi?
Depends on what your plan calls for . . . it was not okay on mine, but it might be on yours. Were you given a list of approved/unapproved foods for the stage you are on?
I would guess if you are on soft foods, sashimi is okay. The rule of thumb I was given for soft foods: can you cut it easily with a fork? And most sashimi is going to fit that criterion (no seaweed wrappers though and certainly no rice).
I couldn't have had it at four weeks because on my plan I was just starting purees at that point. But if I had been cleared for soft foods, yes.
Riceless sushi = sashimi
Order sashimi instead.

Love sashimi! I believe that will be a major staple for me down the road once I'm healed up and can eat whatever. Wife and I love sushi now.. so, that will be my go to. Actually, I used to do phenetermine thru a weight loss clinic to lose weight and during that, sashimi would be my dinner. Just a few pieces. :)
Its like the little slices of tuna sashimi are "precut" to finger nail bites if you break it off on the little cuts of the meat that are naturally there :P

Sashimi for me came in about 6weeks out. I love it and wanted it but also wasn't sure how raw fish was going to work with he new tummy so I tried out other meats and was sure there were no other issues first. Its now my go to if work friends want to go out for lunch. I can order several slices of sashimi and call it a day and they can eat whatever.

The cake is a lie, but Starbucks is not.
ive had both riceless and regular (with rice) sushi. (im 7 months out) but what i find hard with sushi isn't the rice or whatever it's the having to put the whole thing in your mouth all at once thing. this does not go down well with the sleeve. i ALWAYS get sick when i go to sushi but i still go cuz i love it and it'll pass in bout 15 minutes (the sick feeling) LOL
