Hot Foods and Cold Foods
I have noticed a pattern recently and since I have had surgery. It is with hot and cold foods. I find foods that were hot but are now cold more flavorful and yummy. Hot foods I find bland no matter how many spices are in them.
Anyone else have preferences that developed like this?
Not sure if this is what you meant, but I have taken a liking to buffalo chicken. Since I'm eating pureed foods now, I eat a lot of chicken salad and I love the canned buffalo chicken because it is spicy and flavorful. Pre-surgery I liked spicy stuff but it would give me heartburn and I wouldn't eat it much....now, though, it's like I look for ways to include Frank's hot sauce, lol.
What is an example of a food that you love cold rather than hot?

LOL. I should have been more clear. I meant temperature. However, I have a real taste for spicy things. Before surgery not so much post surgery...I love hot and spicy foods. NOM NOM NOM.
I found it at Walmart. It's made by Swanson. They also have an applewood smoked chicken which is a nice change of flavors too!

I find I now prefer my quiche cold now.. if I am planning on it for lunch I'll cook it in the morning so it's cold by lunch time
I've always liked shrimp cold and I still do.
