5 1/2 month update

I haven't posted for a while, simply because I had nothing to post but frustration. My weight loss stalled for an entire month. The scale did not move at all, yet the weight seemed to redistribute itself a bit. I am 77 lbs down but as fast as it went in the first few weeks, as slow as it goes now. I figured out together with the dietician I am not eating enough calories, yet enough protein and liquids, so I upped my calorie intake and low and behold, 2 lbs down this morning. I am so happy the scale is moving again and that I figured out why, it surely had me scared for a bit. So, with the 2 lbs I reached my 240 lbs milestone! 77 lbs down total in 5 1/2 months, not too shabby for a girl that could not do more then 5 steps without intense back pain 5 months ago and walked a 5k last weekend. I get that it will go slower from here on out, I just didn't know it would slow down so much after a few months already. But here is the newer me. I am now far passed halfway which is very encouraging, and I feel great!

CONGRATS to you!  You've done wonderful - glad to here you got help from dietician and are keeping on keeping on.  Also encouraging to here about your back relief - I'm waiting for insurance to ok, and have back issues that I hope will go away when some weight does.

Wow! Look at YOU!  You look wonderful.  What a difference in less than 6 months.  Congratulations.  And walking a 5K, as well!  I am so proud of you!

Yes, the weight loss does slow down.  I found the second 6 months were only about 1/2 the rate of the first 6, and then 1/2 again after the one year point.  But if we can just keep ourselves in the game by keeping a long-term perspective, it pays off big time.  You'll be at goal before you know it.

You are doing great.  Congratulations again.

Look at  your skinny self!!!!  Keep taking photos and keep track of your measurements.  Often times when the scale stops you are still losing but you just don't see it with numbers....  Keep up the GREAT JOB
