Getting cold feet as I wait
All I can tell you is that I wish I had done this years ago. I put off having WLS for years because I did not want the RNY. Now I wish I had any WLS before I ruined my knees.
The anticipation of the surgery can be stressful, but the payoff from having it done is priceless.

Welcome to the forum. I hope you find it as supportive and informative as I have.
I am so happy I had the sleeve surgery. I lost 98% of my excess body weight, and I went from a BMI of 60 to a BMI of 24. I am so much healthier and I have so much more energy. I can wear clothes from normal stores and I love the way I look now.
The surgery doesn't make it easy. You have to follow the rules and stick to the program. But the surgery makes it possible to manage obesity.
I think you'll be very happy with the results if you do it.
best wishes,
Carol

This is the best thing I've ever done for myself. I was ready mentally and physically. I'm at a perfect time in my life as being a mom where my kids are not as demanding (wow, when they can drive - it helps a ton) !! So just do it. You've done all the other steps, waiting for insurance and the date is the easy part. You've got this and we're all here for you.
You can't take care of them, if you don't take care of you!!
