Always freezing
Before wls my kids always made fun of me that I had hot flashes at 40 years old .. After surgery I can never get warm!!! I sleep with 3 blankets!! I find myself always saying how cold I am !! Is this normal does this happen to anyone else ?
Anyone have any ideas besides a sweater to help me out !!
Surgery was feb 24
and my weigh loss is 36lbs so far

This happens very, very often. The only thing you can do is try to stay warm as best you can.
6'3" tall, male.
Highest weight was 475. RNY on 08/21/12. Current weight: 198.
M1 -24; M2 -21; M3 -19; M4 -21; M5 -13; M6 -21; M7 -10; M8 -16; M9 -10; M10 -8; M11 -6; M12 -5.
I'm always cold. I bought some silk long-underwear which is surprisingly warm, and very thin. In winter I'll wear a turtle neck, with a wool sweater, and I'll wear a down vest over the top!
My hubby has a lot of allergies, so he does better at 65 degrees, and I'm happier at 76! So its layers of clothing for me!
good luck,
Carol

I was the same way. I used to go outside in 10 degree weather in a t-shirt and just stand there to cool off. I'd be the one in the pool when it was 75 - now... OMG. I'm freezing all the time - I know carry an extra jacket in my car in case I need it and I have a blanket in my desk, to cover my legs when I get really cold.

You can't take care of them, if you don't take care of you!!

I'm always freezing now (13 months post-op). My boyfriend is constantly stunned by the iciness of my hands and feet.
I've noticed that I can get warm, but as soon as a variable changes (heater shuts off, going outside) I can lose my heat really quickly and it seems to take even longer to get it back.
