I still have gnarly adhesive residue on my skin from the steri-strips.  I'm afraid to get too aggressive with the scrubbing around my newly healed incisions...I've tried rubbing alcohol as well.  Any tips to get rid of the residue?

I searched this site for solutions to remove mine and used what seemed the safest:  olive oil on gauze pads.  It worked!

when I went in for my follow up I asked the nurse for a few packets of adhesive remover.. it seemed like the pad had mineral oil or baby oil on it, so those or the olive oil I someone else mentioned should work.

Put some oil,any kind ,olive, vegetable oil ,canola, whatever on a cotton ball or rag and hold it on the glue marks. It comes right off. It works better than strong chemicals. I learned this years ago when we took up some carpet and needed to get the adhesive off the floors. We tried everything and then I remembered how to get stickers off glass with oil. Works like a charm.

baby oil worked for me and I did not have to scrub. It was off in no time flat!
