Should I go lower

I am a bit taller, but surprised to read that you are a 12 at 167 pounds? I am sitting at 175 right now and 12s are pretty loose. I have zero butt though. I refer to is as assless disease, since it is gentic. I have no butt, my hubby has no butt, our children have no butt. The generations before me had not butt... :)

I was actually wearing 14 pants at 167 which was one reason I wanted to go lower. I think it's because I'm extremely high-waisted, so women's pant**** me at my widest point, right around the belly button. But then the legs and butt are still huge and flappy. Once I recover from popping out the kid in a few weeks I'm going back to the men's section for pants! I used to only wear men's jeans but was hoping to switch to ladies' after weight loss...I guess not.

Right now I'm right months pregnant and my PCP didn't even notice when I went in for a rash last week. Since I'm all torso, I've only gained 3" around the middle. Though I can easily get size 18s on, they are huge in the butt/legs and also fall off the roundness of the baby bump. And maternity pants with stretchy tops fall off too--I guess it's too big for regular pants but not big enough for stretchies. So dresses have been my friend for months now.

I think you must be my sister from another mother! I am incredibly short-waisted so prior to plastics the waist is what dictated what size I bought- even when I was this tall and weighed 135. I was six months pregnant at my sister's wedding where I was the maid of honor, and you couldn't tell- not because I was all that heavy at the time, about 180... but this tall frame of mine and wide natural waist went along way in carrying a pregnancy. Stay healthy and I am excited for you to be having a baby! I am DESPARATE for my kids to get busy and make grandbabies, but they are not there yet in relationships that will lead to a family. At least I hope not, I can't stand my daughter's boyfriend that has been around for over 2 years.

I wore mens pants too up until my late 20's. I graduated high school in 86', and wore Dickies constantly (super preppy back in the day). I will NEVER do that again because they fit so bad... but when you are a chic with a 36/37 inch inseam back in the 80's there just were not choices to be had.

I agree with taking it in 5lb chunks. We really have no idea when we are heavier what is a good weight. When you don't have a lot to lose each 5lbs makes a big difference.... Keep going....
