I've been lurking on this site since the beginning of the year when I started considering this process and today learned my insurance approved for VSG and am scheduled for 4/12!

Even though I haven't really posted, I've gained a lot of from the veterans on this board and just want to say thanks.

I'll start my pre-op diet on Tuesday, which is essentially 3 protein shakes and a lean cuisine per day.

Welcome and good luck!!  I just recently joined myself and my surgery was 2 short days ago. This site is great. If it weren't for the embers and their support, not sure how I'd get through all the ups and downs.

Welcome to the forum.  I hope you find it as supportive and informative as I have.

Weight loss surgery was a life-saver for me. I lost 225 pounds and went from a BMI of 60 to a BMI of 24. I never imagined that I'd be so successful but I was able to get to and maintain a normal weight.   I hope you will have an equally successful outcome.

best wishes,

Carol
