Easter Meals, what's on your menu
We have family coming for Easter. Because they travel 8+ hours, Easter will be on Saturday. I will be on full foods that week and am making a menu. IF I can find affordable lamb, I will be grilling (weather dependent) it slowly. Cloud Bread will definitely be on the menu and my and my sisters first try at it (she's gluten intolerant). Probably some sort of potatoes, deviled eggs, gonna try a low calorie pumpkin pie (stevia and ff canned milk). I don't know how well a green salad will do, but I have been craving one since surgery.
Anyone else want to share what they may be cooking?

We usually have ham, asparagus (I don't do well with fibrous veggies) potatoes (they sit very heavily, so probably only a bite), and salad. I do pretty well with salad most of the time. I will also make raisin sauce and I have ordered apple crostada for dessert from a friend who is a pastry chef. I believe in a taste of everything at the holidays, but in small portions
However, at one month out, you need to be very, very careful!

Ah, you are thinking like a pre op, me thinks! (I did this, too, early out!) Your eyes are far bigger than your sleevie!
I can't wait to hear what you are actually ABLE to eat. If you eat the lamb, I'm going to guess three to 4 bites and you will be DONE! There is not going to be room for the potatoes, and deviled eggs or the pumpkin pie. Now if you have them spaced every two hours you might bea ble to do it!
My plan, rolled leg of lamb and a veggie (most likely grilled asparagus). My partner will want some sort of starch, so I'll make it, but probably won't have more than a bite or two.
I'll be having honey baked ham.. my family will be having ham, green bean casserole and sweet potatoes
Yum... Yum... I'm polish also... I no longer get the "blessed" basket.. But eat all the stuff from it.
