Electrolyte replacement?
i have been reading that not getting enough to water can lead to dehydration and false hunger, a I g other things, during the first two weeks on liquids after surgery. Someone at a support (no doctor present) gave me an electrolyte replacement powder to put in water. Will this help? Surgery isMarch 29 and I want to have everything I need at home. I found a brand on Amazon called Sqwincher ZERO Qwik Stik - Sugar Free Electrolyte Powdered Beverage Mix. Should I purchase some?
Yes electrolytes can help. I used Powerade Zero from the store. Used to drink one quart a day.

Thank you! I will ask my sister to look for it. I have back problems that make going to the store a real problem. I wonder why the nutritionist never mentioned it.
make sure she gets the artificially sweetened one.
Your NUT didn't mention it, because unfortunately, many of them don't have a clue of what bariatric patients need.
I love propel and Powerade zero. I drank them early out and still do years later. It's good to alternate with plain water but do what you have to in order to get fluids.

When I don't get enough sleep, I'm very queasy the next day,so I started drinking 8 ounces of pedialite (Wal Mart brand) before bed and when I wake up. After that I'm able to drink water without it making me sick. It has 25 calories per 8 ounces. It's inexpensive too.

I havent had surgery, and while I drink so much I still have issues with cramping when I weight train. I normally have these on hand (I'm all out right now :( ) but theyre pretty good.

May be a good option. Add one tablet to a bottle of water.
