Take a moment, breathe, and understand your body has been through a tremendous shock.  You were pumped full of liquids via IV, you're swollen from surgery and healing, and you'll get there.  I struggled my first month and was totally cranky about the lack of loss.  Your doctor is right...just do what you're supposed to do.  Maybe weigh yourself once a week or once every two weeks for a while?  Take this time to learn new healthy habits, walk, get your liquids and protein.  A year from now you won't recognize yourself!!

If you haven't already, take your measurements! It will help you stay motivated when you hit inevitable stalls. It's hard to notice results in the mirror, so take lots of photos so you can compare yourself down the road. The first month is tough, a lot of people don't lose a whole lot and you're totally normal! It's way too easy to compare ourselves to others but there are a lot of factors at play that contribute to each person's weight loss. Stay the course and you will see results, I promise! Best of luck to you, you'll do great!
