can't believe it's my one year surgiversary
Well I posted pictures yesterday. It's been a year since my VSG. Thus is one of the best things I ever did for myself. Thank GOD I was able to get this surgery and I had such a great surgeon and team. I also want to thank everyone on this Web page for all of the support they gave me and still give me to this day. There are so many people who freely help and guide us newbies. AgainI am so lucky I found this place. Now the hard part. Maintenance.
WOW! You are truly a testimonial to what one can accomplish with the sleeve! I am amazed by how far you have come in such a short time. Your before - after pic on your page is incredible! Congratulations!!
Oh, I like your bike! It's the same model I got myself for Christmas. Pretty awesome to be on a bike again, isn't it?
Good job !! It sounds like you are preparing to invest yourself in maintenance in the same way. Looking at your pleasure in physical activity, you have made the crucial shift from eating as an activity in and of itself, and eating to fuel what you want your body to do. That shift alone will be a major advantage as you explore the calorie / macro targets that will maintain your healthy life.

Wow! Goal reached by one year! Excellent job working that sleeve.
Yes, maintenance is the challenge. What I found works for me, is thinking of maintenance as just another plan with a few more calories and a little more flexibility. We are never done. WLS is a treatment for obesity but not a cure. We need to be vigilant for the rest of our lives, and working to manage the obesity.
Congratulations on your success. You are an inspiration
