Feeling super down/lost/depressed

Sometime we need more carbs... I am doing really low carbs 95-99%of the time.. but once in a while my body needs carbs.  I get that eating an apple or a cup of blueberries...  I may have a day or 2 of more carbs and then go back to low carbing ...

low carbs sometimes causes low energy and low serotonin... adding some carbs really help me and my body.

Additionally - ask the doc to check not only  D, but B12, iron, ferritin, and thyroid panel - including t4 and T3.

Low carbing can cause low T3 ..and that can contribute to low energy and depression.

iron: When my iron gets low, and my ferritin drops below 30.. I am a basket case...

B12 below 500-600 - and I can sleep 12 hrs and wake up tired...and nothing feels right..

and so on.... low - or even low normal -vitamins and minerals can make me feel like the whole world is against me... At one time I got there and it took me close to 6 months to normalize my labs...

Hey H.a.l.a B.! I think I'm going to work in fruit carbs in some way, even if it just mean one day a week or every other week  I go to the store and pick out one small fruit (probably not banana though because those have crazy carbs) and have it. I just need a break from meat and cheese and to feel somewhat normal and less like I live on meat and cheese island. Luckily labs are at the beginning of next month with surgeons office for 3 month follow up so hopefully everything comes up normal I am super good about taking my vitamins so I hope things are good. Thanks for your thoughtful reply. Have a great day!
