Finally!!!! Able to get in my protein... Some suggestions.
I feel like I just won the lottery. This is a small victory of mine and I'd like to share it with those who are struggling with getting their protiens especially through protein shakes.
I absolutely cannot stand protien shakes and just the sight of the premier protein carton makes me gag. I'm two weeks post op by the why! I've never even thought about adding protien powder to my juices but today I thought I'd give it a shot. One scoop of unflavoured protein powder (contains 30g protein) along with about 4oz Tropicana farmstand mango and peach juice (no sugar added) and a lot of ice. The only thing that's different is the consistency of the drink but absolutely none of that disgusting protein smell!!!!
I understand that the protein shakes also contain the much needed vitamins we need but I get that through my multivitamins.
Anyway, just thought I would share my mini victory. Hopefully this helps anybody else who is struggling with shakes.
have you tried to mix the unflavored powder into anything else?
I ask because 4 oz of the tropicana has 15 carbs and 14 sugars
I add powder to my morning coffee. The strong coffee smell and taste hide it. That is if you like coffee, and when you are released to drink it. Just another idea.

I use flavored! Chocolate is awesome. I mix my powder with a little water to make pancake like batter and slowly mix in the coffee while stirring. Doing this helps to keep the lumps down. You can also add the Premier RTD to your coffee like a creamer and over the day, get that 30 grams in!
word of warning protein doesn't like temps over 140 degrees and could (will) curdle :)
