2 Month Surgiversary

Well today I am two months out since VSG, what a ride so far. It's amazing the changes I'm seeing not only in weight, but in my mindset about food, self confidence and the way I carry myself. I've lost 33.9lbs since my day of surgery 298lbsdown to 264.1 as of this morning(58lbs total from highest weight recorded with surgeons office). That's an average of a little over 4lbs a week which is pretty good to me, if I keep this rate up at my 6 month mark I'm hoping to be right around the 200lb mark and then it's a hop skip and a jump to onederland.

I cannot wait to see what the next few months bring, hopefully smaller clothes and even better attitudes about food, myself and the universe/life in general. I'm also excited that at only 2 months out I have inspired a long time friend who has struggled with weight and yo-yoing his whole life to see my surgeon. He has about 200-250 lbs to lose to be where he wants to be and I know he can do it. I told me I am with him every step of the way if he needs me. He is one of the most kind, loving, generous people I have ever met and he deserves it so very much and I wish him nothing but the best.

What a great friend you are being! It's nice that you are able to inspire and support a close friend with a similar dream of living life at a healthy weight.

I'm glad to read your post. I'm in the beginning stages of the process and have so many reservations. I'm just taking it all in!~ Happy to see that you're doing well. Thanks for sharing.

It's so worth it! Stick to the process, you will not be disappointed with it. I spent 2 year researching before I did it and it's still the best decision I've ever made for myself.
