**6 months Supervised Diet**

There are lots of different ways they do this. Call yours and find out, and get it in writing. 

Some insurances only go by weight at initial consult, and they want you to lose before surgery. A few count your weight a couple weeks before.

Find out. If you can lose a bunch before surgery, it will be a huge help getting to your goal.

6'3" tall, male.

Highest weight was 475. RNY on 08/21/12. Current weight: 198.

M1 -24; M2 -21; M3 -19; M4 -21; M5 -13; M6 -21; M7 -10; M8 -16; M9 -10; M10 -8; M11 -6; M12 -5.

My insurance paid if, at initial consult, I qualified for WLS, no matter how much I lost in the 6-month interim before surgery. Check with your plan to see whether or not pre-surgery weight loss will disqualify you for surgery.
