More Instant Pot Love- Just Because!
Check ebay- someone in the FB group posted yesterday getting the bluetooth version (the fanciest model) for $50. Just pulled up this one too. A little searching there may save some money.

If you are new to pressure cooking start out simple. A water test is recommended by the Potheads on the facebook group. 3 cup water, manual pressure for just a couple of minutes like 2-3. This will allow you to get a feel for how long it takes to get to pressure and how to navigate the quick release. Remember, it will only show "on" until it gets to pressure- then you will see the display change to show you how many minutes are left for cooking. Yogurt is opposite- it counts up to the time that it is done.

Broth making is a favorite of mine. Healthier, tastier, and a whole lot cheaper than buying it! The IP makes it stupid easy too!

Happyteacher, do you think we need another discussion forum added for Instant Pot pressure cooker users? It's been the most popular topic ever since you introduced it several weeks ago. We need our own special place to talk about the cooker, the recipes, the speediness of cooking, and all the other great Instant Pot features. My brand-new cooker is waiting for me at my son's house, but I can't try it out till April. I'm green with envy at all the Instant Pot successes! I think it will be in almost daily use on my boat this summer!

We could. The only down side of that is our constantly rotating new members wouldn't see the posts, and may not see the glory of the IP!

Lol, no. I am in a private group and I post once in a while about it there... but usually I don't read the other boards. Not that I don't want to send love their way or anything- it is just a lot to maintain. The facebook group for the IP is crazy with the amount of active posting that goes on, so if you haven't checked it out take a peek. Loads of great info there.
