Struggling today...
Jenn,
We are in the same boat! I will be having the sleeve on 2/18 and I'm on day 6 of a full liquid diet. The temptation is so hard and strong right now. One thing that I have found that helps is chewing ice. Good Luck!
Emily!! So great to see another one going through this at the same time. I had my appt today with my surgeon and pre admission testing and I am all cleared, which gave me so much encouragement as well as all the amazing people on here, with all the support... We got this, so close!!! Best of luck to you... We can do it!!!
This is why this forum is here! Vent away. Most of us probably went thru exactly what you're going thru. Debbie Downer will be gone in no time. You're about to reclaim your health and I know happiness will come with that! In the mean time think about all the new clothes you're going to be able to buy! ;)

I think what you will find is that many of us have had similar feelings, so if nothing else, know that you aren't alone. Just be kind to yourself - follow the program. It may take you having to white-knuckle it through some of this stuff, but it gets easier and is SO worth it. You are worth it.

I'm a little late chiming in here, but one thing that helped me two years ago when I went through this was to keep in mind that being really "good" about the pre-op diet was important because it affects the safety of the surgery. Docs are different, but usually one purpose for the pre-op stuff is to sharply reduce carbs to shrink the size of your liver, which apparently makes the surgery easier and safer. This helped me keep my motivation up! Hang in there - you'll do great! :)
