I can't believe I'm typing this out and sharing photos. I promised myself when I first signed up that if someday I ever was of a normal BMI that I'd share before and after pictures. Well... here we are! I honestly cannot believe this journey.

My highest weight was 450. On the day of my surgery it was 428. I've been losing steadily since 9/26/14. Today, I'm 197.5. My BMI is under 25 and I'm "normal".

The photos: before is me meeting the Bryan Twins (super amazing tennis players) in December of 2013. The after is me just over a week ago on vacation in Maui, Hawaii. On vacation, I swam in the ocean! Without a shirt! Yes, me! All of this is still new and very surreal, but... I enjoy my new life. Very much!

Thank you for those that have shared your journeys and your successes. I've learned so much here reading everyone's stories. I may not be very active posting, but I'm always reading and seeing if I can do more/do better.

The sky is, indeed, the limit!

Congratulations!

Your weight loss is absolutely impressive! You are definitely one to emulate on this journey! I hope some of the newbies see your post and see what is possible with dedication and determination. There is a lot of work that went into your weight loss - your sleeve didn't do "for" you!

Your pictures are wonderfully inspiring! Again, many congrats!

WOW Tiy look like a totally different and younger person. You are a prime example that the sleeve can indeed work just as well as the RNY if a person applies themselves!
