surgery feb.1...prevacid question

Just got out of the hospital today. My husband got my prescriptions filled for me. Instead of Prevacid they gave me a generic brand teva-lansoprazole. Does anyone else take this type? What time of day is it best to take? I am supposed to take one a day and I am on clear fluids until Tuesday.

I have taken the name brand as well as generic and both worked the same.  Recommended to take first thing in AM, at least 30 mins before your first meal of the day.  It needs that long for the acid inhibitor to kick in.  Taking it after eating does no good.

Check with your pharmacy or doctor. I take mine on a empty stomach abd also have generic.Mine works .
