How do you drink water when you're so cold all the time.

My extremities are constantly cold! My husband makes fun of me for it! I drink a lot of tea, rose tea to be specific. But I also drink water at room temperature NEVER cold. But I know some people who just cannot drink it room temp it grosses them out. Try adding orange slices maybe that will help, as long as the sugar doesnt trigger you.
With my band cold water causes problems so after 9 years I have trained myself to live with it.
I hope you are doing better balancing these days!

I drink a lot of tea (decaf most always). My protein mocha expresso shake powder actually does pretty well when mixed with hot (but not too hot) water. I also keep reading that in the morning a glass of warm/ho****er with lemon juice helps with digestion/fat/weight loss. No idea if that is a myth or not though.

I'm still a newbie (7 weeks out tomorrow) but I cannot tolerate water colder than what comes out of the fridge (aka bottles that have been in the fridge not the filtered water that comes from the door on the fridge) and sometimes even that is too cold. I will le****er (with mio or crystal lite) sit at room temp for awhile before I drink it. Or hot decaf tea, I like the sweet and spicy kind, from good earth is great. I also don't like water so I do not drink it plain, like ever. It has to have some flavor in it even if it's only lemon or lime squeezed in.
As Julie said, caffeine is NOT dehydrating, so if you want coffee, drink it.
For those that take iron supplements, do NOT drink coffee or tea within two hours of taking it. They both block absorption of a great deal of iron. Tea, especially. It blocks about 80% of your iron.
I'm an anomaly. I can't stand any hot beverages. They have to be really, really cold, to the point of being partly frozen.

I had no idea coffee and tea blocks iron. This would likely be why I was anemic for so long. Not a chance the poor iron would make it past my IV drip of coffee and tea!

I'm not sure if huffing coffee blocks iron. Maybe give that a try instead.

I have gotten really into teas because I dont like too much caffeine. sometimes i use one teabag for 3-4 cups. I also sip on ho****er with a slice of fresh ginger in it, I try to take advantage of the thirst created by my workouts and drink extra during that time because i'm both warm and thirsty. good luck!
