Balloon abdomen
6th day VSG post op and I noticed that my abdomen (where me incisions are) is kind of balloon-like when I kind of push on it with my finger. People talk about gas, bloated, etc. I don't feel sick, I am getting more liquid and protein each day (up to 50+ each day as of today). I have never experienced bloating except in the LOWER abdomen (gassy pain occasionally) so is this ballooning thing what people are talking about? Or is it something else? Once again...no pain, no nausea, no fever, no constipation. Just a kind of swollen/Balloony belly. Appreciate your thoughts!
It's swelling from the major trauma your body just went through. Mine took a good couple weeks to go down. For a couple weeks though my stomach was all lopsided from weird swelling patterns.

Took me a good 6 weeks or so for that to settle down. Very normal.
