Instant Pot update

Here are two strainers that I use all the time. The first one is very convenient, but will only hold approximately a half gallon of product. I then also us this one to make a yogurt cheese- it turns out the consistency of cream cheese. The last part that doesn't fit into either is used as starter for the next batch and is not strained. I make it using a gallon of milk at a time.

Yogurt came out nice and thick...just like my keeping it warm in the oven method, and much easier. I didn't do the boil in the Insta pot.. just put it in after it was the right temp....I just did a half gallon because I live alone. Your links for the strainers both go to the same item....Could you repost the second one? Thanks!

Apologies- here it is.   I scald the milk using the IP- less clean up!  I used to use the microwave and a glass pitcher, then pour from that. This is easier!

We like our poached eggs just set - whites not runny but yolks runny.  I found this on the fb group and it worked great:   hit the sauté button to let the water warm up first then put the eggs in and did 1 minutes on Steam and QR

I did them in 1/2 cup pyrex cups and they were PERFECT!  Usually I lose whites in the water but not this time :)

Thank you- sounds a little less messy than using the stove/pan and more consistent once I get the timing down. I don't have pyrex in that size, so perhaps my little silicon cupcake holders will suffice.

Way less messy than a pot.  I did spray the little cups with Pam.  Do you have to do that with the silicone?  I have some but have never used them so have no clue!!

I do when I make cupcakes, but now that I think about it I don't really know if I "have" to do it!
