TODAY is my One-Year Surgerversary!! :-)

WOW!! I can't believe it has been one year already since I had my VSG. A year ago today at this time, I was so very nervous about going in for surgery to have so much of my stomach removed, and wondering if I would be the one person for whom VSG did not work. I am thrilled to say it has worked mightily.

-I have lost 90.5 pounds lost.

-I am just 6.5 pounds away from hitting my first Goal of being a Normal BMI.

-I have gone from a Size 26 to a Size 10! I can now wear "skinny jeans" and just bought a pair of boots which at 256 pounds I could have never reached to zip up! At age 63, I feel so trendy!

-I am no longer pre-diabetic, my Cholesterol Prescription has been cut down by 3/4. My labwork came back all normal in December, including all of my Vitamin Levels.

Of course, it is not the scale that marks my success, but the NSV's, the changes in behavior, that have brought me this far.

Before it hurt to walk or even move. Now I walk and feel light as a feather. No more knee, foot or ankle problems.

I love my sleeve, and I love my life!

For those of you still in the first few weeks after surgery and wondering if it was worth it....Hang in there!! It is so worth it.

Kay :-)
