With all the wild ups and downs that come with WLS, and the wide range of people who are all at different stages in their journey here, I thought it would be a great idea to post a weekly topic sharing a Non-Scale Victory you had this week or a cool tip you can provide for newbies. It can be whatever you'd like to say, no matter how small. Just keep it light, fun and informative!

A few of my NSVs this week:

  • I traveled to Chicago for 3 days with my family and walked everywhere. I made great food choices, and managed to lose weight in the process!
  • I returned to work after an extended recovery period and I've felt great. My big gut is gone so I can perform my job duties like never before.
  • I can tie my shoes without nearly dying from lack of oxygen, ROFL :)

Feel free to share yours, post a tip or picture, or just say hi and let us know you are alive!

I've been completely abstinent from all added sugars and flour for 40 days. It's a miracle and the results in how I feel are amazing.

Awesome! I've been on that same road. I haven't had any real sugars, flour based foods or anything starchy/carb filled since my pre-op diet and it feels great. It's sort of like a detoxing of bad junk in the system. I can really tell the difference.

Here's an informational tip for everyone, whether they have a sleeve or not: Don't eat the beef carpaccio in Nicaragua.

Yikes, hope you feel better after what sounds like a meal that didn't go well! Great tip.

Also, thanks for pointing out my redundancy haha. I edited the original post to flow better.

I didn't eat the carpaccio; I ate the fish. My husband and my friend ate the carpaccio. I feel just great! And the discomfort for my husband and friend lasted only a few hours, so they got off pretty lightly.

BTW, I wasn't pointing out any redundancy in your original post. I used the ellipses only to eliminate the text about NSVs, which didn't apply to my post.

Good to hear!

Yeah I know about the ellipses, I was kidding! I'm a 90's kid. My usage of the word Cool can be excessive sometimes
