After the soups....?
Hello - I am almost two weeks out of surgery, beginning to consider the "after soup" life.
So far I have had no issues at all. I can drink and eat (liquids and blended soups) what I want.
...but I guess I enjoy the benefits of liquids going 'right through the pipe'.
What happens once I move to more solid food? Any advice? The transition from liquids to more solid foods - how do I handle this most carefully?
Measure everything and start off small. I had pureed foods after full liquids and I started with 1 ounce. Then I went to 2. It took a while to get to 3. Make sure to keep your foods moist as well!

i agree, go slow, i did thicker soups like a split pea with ham with the chunks pureed. the first egg i had was amazing! going slow helps so you don't take too many bites. i find some soups i can only get 1/4 cup in. same with soft fish and egg.
