Ideas for being house bound by ice?

Hey guys

The weather guys are predicting .5 to 1.5 inches of ice. So I am going to be stuck in the house  :( so no gym and probably no walking outside

Anyone have ideas on what to do inside?. I don't have any excersize videos ....

Oh and ideas for warm food ideas. I would typically make a big pot of chilli or spaghetti during these times. I am 3 months post op and haven't really ventured into those types of food

Thanks in advance for the advice

I second YouTube! I like to pull up yoga videos, though I know the names of the poses already so I can run by just the audio (when I'm not looking at the screen).

You can also search for exercise videos from the '80s for some serious entertainment, and still get a good workout! I love Sweatin' to the Oldies for a good laugh :)

My winter exercise has been walking in the house.  I have a circular path thru the living room, kitchen and entry hall that's about 25 steps.  I turn on the radio and walk in circles.  Its working for me.

There are a lot of crock pot recipes that would work for being house bound.  A few that come to mind are  thai chicken in peanut sauce made with salsa and peanut butter and salsa verde chicken made with salsa verde and beer.  both are easy and tasty.  But check out the recipe forum.  There are a lot of good ideas there.

Keep warm.  I hope you weather the storm ok.

There are literally thousands of free exercise videos on YouTube, ranging from beginner to advanced.  I highly recommend them as opposed to paying for dvds.

Knit, sew read a good book, make some soup, dance round the house to your favorite music while inhaling the smell of soup cooking. I will be doing the same after 12" or more of snow in the next couple of days.

I have traction cleats that I wear on my boots if there is ice.
