Had surgery friday, just got home today. I am miserable. Please tell me it gets better. I'm running a temp my Dr.said to use my breathing gadget and recheck it in a couple of hours.

It gets better, I promise, but if you are running a temp you need to check with the Dr and keep him posted.

Dr Ponce de Leon Mexico     VSG 4 Jun 12. I lost 57 lbs on my own before having a VSG. This is by far the best thing I have ever done for myself.

I am in the same boat of feeling yucky. I don't have a temperature though. I hope you start to feel better soon!

Yuckiness abounds right after surgery, but it does get better. Definitely keep your Dr informed about your fever, hope you get better soon.

The first couple of weeks are a struggle, but if you can weather this part of it, you will be so happy you made this decision.  Let you body heal, get lots of rest when you can, and be sure to follow up on the elevated temp.

... And water, water, water

I had a temp the 2nd day. I kept forgetting to use my breathing thing and they told me to get going on it. It was gone the same day. I was so centered on walking in the hospital that I was forgetting. I was out of bed more than in it. I was thinking if I walked enough that the gas would be gone.  Lol! Then I started getting high BP readings. The dr. got me out of there fast and when I got home EVERYTHING returned to normal. You will soon feel better and more empowered every day!

It gets better! Just get lots of rest and walk as much as you can when not resting and sip as much water as you can. Sorry you're not feeling well and have temp keep in touch with your doctor.
