Can you share your eating schedule? How many meals per day?
8:00 am Breakfast - Protein shake with a shot of Miralax
12:00 noon Lunch - Either tuna or something I've prepared in the crockpot and frozen
3:00 pm Snack - Dannon Light & Fit Greek yogurt
7:00 pm Dinner - Some type of protein and vegetables
10:00 Snack - Sugar free jello with blueberries and a dollop of whipped cream
This is when I'm eating cleanly, which I do well during the week. If I'm starving when I come home from work, I might eat carrots with hummus or pickles.

Though not a vet quite yet, I think I have my lifetime routine set down pact (barring any drastic changes to job, etc.). I typically eat 3 meals a day with one snack. Typically breakfast is when I get to work - around 9:30am, then lunch at like 1:30pm. I then typically eat dinner around 6:30pm and follow it up with a snack at 9:00-ish. My snacks are typically pure protein -like cheese and some salami or pork rinds. I guess it really is more like 4 meals a day since I eat full-fat versions of cheese, but I balance it all out with how the rest of my day looks. If I had a big dinner (or the night before a weigh-in ), I tend to skip the snack altogether.

My doctor told me to have 5 "eating moments" in the day, 3 meals and 2 snacks. That is what I stick to although I do get hungry sometimes, bu****er will solve that.

I am about 10 months out and I tend to eat all day. Here is my meal plan for today. Also, I cannot drink plain water (it comes back up) so I drink lots of decaf coffee and tea (surgeon and nut approved)
7-9:15 am decaf coffee and vanilla protein shake as cream (about 80 oz)
10 am breakfast-yogurt and some type of deli meat
11:30 am snack sardines and seaweed
1 pm lunch mahi and collard greens
2 pm more decaf coffee and vanilla protein shake (about 60 oz)
6 pm dinner 2 crab cakes & small portion of veggies
7-8 pm hot tea (32 oz)
10 snack depends...popcorn or deli turkey with babybel
Right now, I am eating 1000 calories and about 120 grams of protein. I wait 45-60 minutes between eating and drinking.
I eat by the clock. 8, 11, 2, 5, and 8. I don't refer to food as snacks. The term snack conjures images of carb laden food that does not serve us well. The names we give meals have similar meanings. Breakfast for most people is a carb fest. So my mealtimes are just meals, and vary very little, whether it's 8 am or 8 pm.
This is what works for me, right now. But I've had to change the plan in the past, and am ready to change it again in the future.

I work a rotating shift so my mealtimes change depending on what day it is, but whether I'm off, on days or nights the routine is pretty much still the same.
I start off with a protein shake, drink my coffee, get my water in, get my vitamins in
Mid morning eat something light, either a tuna packet, a slice of ham & cheese, beef jerky
Wait a half hour, work on water., drink coffee/tea
Early afternoon bigger meal, usually some kind of protein or fish
Mid afternoon something light, same as mid morning choices
Wait 1/2 hour work on water, drink that last cup of coffee,
Early evening bigger meal, same as early afternoon meal
Right b4 bed, eat my treat, usually something light n sweet like a yogurt pop/sf pop. I like a little sweetness. lol

I eat 2 Main meals per day and 4 smaller meals. If I've had a particularly intense workout, I will add yet another small protein meal for recovery.
Meals during the week come at 9, noon, 3, 6, 8-9, 10 ish
Weekends are a little more flexible, but I tend to eat less frequently. Maybe 4 meals per day.
Whatever the day, my focus is protein (100+ grams per day).
It's what works for me.
Thank you all for taking the time to respond, your answers have been super helpful. Seems like a lot of you eat more than the 3 times daily. Since I don't seem to quite be making it between my meals I'm bringing a hard boiled egg and some cheese plus my work lunch today. Going to give a try to eating every few hours (unless I'm not hungry at all) and see how that feels. I want to start developing permanent habits with my sleeve that'll keep me satisfied and not wanting to reach for any snacks.
Thanks again!!
