Yesterday I just managed to stop myself from ordering a piece of tres leches (3-milk) cake, a Nicaraguan specialty. I had a little the week before, so this piece would have just been for the junk carbs, not to satisfy my curiosity. So yesterday turned out okay. Today was pretty good too. My husband and I have a friend visiting us for the next two weeks. When I know someone is watching what I eat, I tend to be much more careful, as illogical as that sounds. It's when I'm bored and alone and there's carbs around that bad, bad things happen.

B: Almond milk, fresh papaya
L: Red snapper, steamed squash, one plantain chip, tiny portion of rice
D: Almond milk, fresh papaya
S: Handful of mixed nuts
W&V: On track
E: 1-mile walk

Good for you!  It may seem like a long few weeks, but the liquids phase will be over very soon and it's on to real live food.  Get as creative as you can, use lots of spice and try things that you wouldn't normally like, because your tastes may have changed since surgery.

I can't wait to hear more about your future VSG life.  Welcome to the loser's bench, there's always room for new friends and guests.
