I'm just about 7 weeks out from surgery and doing well, but getting sick of the chewable vitamins. How long until we can take regular vitamins? I'm supposed to chew 4 per day but I sometimes can't make myself take that last one. Thank you.

I am 5 and a half weeks out and I take the regular bariatric advantage capsules (3 a day) as I couldn't take the chewables anymore! Doctor approved and I have been doing fine with it.

Thank you for responding so quickly. I see my surgeon tomorrow and I'm going to see if I can switch to capsules also.

I have the bariatric advantage capsules ultra multi formula with iron. I am sure you can switch! :)

Which chewables are you using? I cannot find a multi vitamin chewable that has everything we need.

I always figured the chewable vitamins were because it'd be hard to swallow a large pill for awhile after surgery. I bought a 100 count bottle of Centrum orange flavored chewables and once that is finished, I planned to go onto a pill vitamin.

My office only ordered me to take it 2x a day. I can not imagine taking 4 of those suckers a day. It's like chewing on crunchy flavored sand. It makes me shudder every time.

i take the bariatric fusion, im 4 weeks out. and im supposed to chew 4 a day. sometime i just eat 2 flinstones in its place (in place of one) because i love the flavor. I could eat the whole bottle in a sitting, if it wasnt bad for me.  but the worst is the chewable calcium from celebrate berries flavored ooooh no im supposed to eat 3 of those a day, i hardly do. the fusion seems to have it all in it. so when i run out perhaps i will start chewing that gross ass huge pill more often.

We are supposed to get 200% of the RDA of most vitamins and minerals. That would mean two of a high quality vitamin. Bariatric Fusion are poor quality. You would need EIGHT of those to get 200%. Flintstones, other children's vitamins, and all gummies are just as bad.

If you are going to the trouble of taking supplements, do yourself a favor and take good quality supplements.
