Hi, my name is Kennedee, I am 19 years old and have been on this journey since I was 17 years old. I started thinking about weight loss when I was 17 and tried various types of weight loss systems and nothing happened. So, when I was 18 I finally started looking into weight loss surgery but always had it in the back of my head because my mother have the bypass 5 years ago. When I started researching, I was immediately drawn to the idea of the vertical sleeve and after lots of research have decided that's the surgery for me. So here I am 19 years old and hoping to have surgery sometime this year.

I am in Louisiana and my surgeon is Dr. Taylor with the Baton Rouge Clinic. Any people in Louisiana having or had the vertical sleeve?
