woo hoo.. first day home and feeling great!
As nervous as I was, it's gone so much more smoothly than I anticipated.
I believe it has a lot to due with the type of pain medication they used.. they used some sort of tylenol ****tail instead of morphine for pain so when I woke up I didn't have that head-achy, nauseated, groggy feeling.. I felt so good I wondered if the procedure was even done. Until I sipped the chicken broth a bit too fast.. then I felt a little nauseated. The only thing that really bothered me was the lingering odor of the anesthesia..walking and using the incentive spirometer helped with that.
The last thing I remember was being in the holding area, the nurses getting suited up and one put a hat with a plastic face splash guard on it.. and I got nervous and said... hey, I know what that is .. I used to watch grey's anatomy - bam, then I woke up and I was in recovery lol
I brought to the hospital with me: my kindle, my cell, chapstick, gas x strips, biotin and chloraseptic spray.. only thing I didn't use was the chapstick.
Here's hoping the rest of the recovery goes just as smooth.. walk , sip and breathe :)
Great! We usually only hear about problems. Most people, like you, have a pretty smooth time of it.

I'm so glad your recovery is going well. Mine was similarly uneventful. I felt like I had the flu for a few days but didn't have a lot of pain or nausea.
Best of luck on your weight loss journey.
