SPLEEN issues pre or post op?

can you share your experience pls? I was told my spleen is slightly enlarged and its freaked me out. Surgery booked for feb 1

I'm sorry to hear you are having problems.  I haven't heard much about spleen problems on the forum, so I don't think it is very common.  I hope it is a minor problem and you can move forward as planned.

I called my clinic today. The nurse said it was only slightly enlarged and many people have that. Nothing to be concerned about. They will monitor it but everything is fine.

So all is well :)

I'm glad it seems ok. But I really hear nothing from people about spleen issues. Nada.

6'3" tall, male.

Highest weight was 475. RNY on 08/21/12. Current weight: 198.
