Holiday Eating Reminder !!!

It's just another day..........

Just remember, there will be a protein and vegetable to eat.

If you "choose" to eat off plan foods these are some of the many "Red Flags" that should pop up.

  • The thought of  XXXXX- RED FLAG
  • The site- RED FLAG
  • The choice- RED FLAG
  • You need to put it on "your" fork/spoon and look at it- RED FLAG
  • You need to guide it to your mouth- HUGE RED FLAG
  • You need to chew- HUGE RED FLAG
  • You need to swallow- RED FLAG
  • If you repeat..........

You can fill in your own red flags as I'm sure there are more.....

This reminder is NOT telling you what to eat or what not to eat.

It's a reminder that it's just another day in the big picture and food just doesn't jump off the plate into your mouth, it is ultimately your choice and you had all the warnings.

A "laps in judgement" actually means you knowingly drove through many stop signs !!!

Stay strong, your in control, it's your hand on the fork !!!!

Enjoy the Holiday and the event !!!

Thanks, frisco.

I plan on enjoying everything about Christmas, except certain foods. There are plenty of other things to do:

  1. Playing with my grandson and his new toys
  2. Admiring the tree (my DIL did an outstanding tree this year)
  3. Wrapping presents
  4. Unwrapping presents
  5. Watching The Grinch Who Stole Christmas
  6. Enjoying conversation with my son and DIL
  7. Relishing my delicious holiday protein and vegetables in small portions while losing a little weight in the process. I think this may be the best part about Christmas this year!

Ah Ha! We're on the same track. I spent some time today figuring out my personal dos and don'ts for the next two days. Basically, it boils down to two meals for me - Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas breakfast. I have those two planned out as best I can (and some alternate plans, if I need some flexibility).

Another thing I've planned is exercise. For me the exercise factors in to help me keep the appetite in check. Exercise tends to reduce my hunger. It's the days I don't work out that I seem more hungry!

Thanks for the reminder. It's a good one. As I say, it's all about choices. We just need to understand that every food choice has a consequence - either positive or negative. It's up to us to make the choices that work.

Merry Christmas, friend.
