I was a size 6 when I was younger. I'vebeen a size 7 since I hit my 30s. Was totally not expecting for my shoe size to change. After 50 lbs went to a size 6.  After 100 lbs now in a size 5 1/2 or 6. Had to give away 7 pairs of Danskos.

I lost shoe sizes. I went from an 8.5 WW to a 6.5 to 7 medium with 200 lbs lost.

I have lost 185lbs and my feet have not gotten shorter... I am still solidly a size 12... BUT they are much thinner and my instep isn't as high so I can fit into  a 12M rather than a 12W. That in itself has made more options available.

I recently discovered Nordstrom Rack -  the discount outlet for Nordstrom... they have lots of large sizes available to try on. It is a weird assortment but worth the 30minute drive for me to try on. Most of them are mediums and they go up to size 13. Was just there today and bought a pair of Naturalizer leather tall boots, wide calf originally $200 for $40.

It was my dream too, that my shoe size would go down.... but it hasn't happened. But it still is easier to buy shoes.

Mine have definitely shrunk some. Mostly in the width. But I would have to do 11's most of the time and sometimes wide. Now it's a regular 10. So much better :)
