Shoe size dreams

I've seen several posts where people said their feet change sizes after surgery.  It has me dreaming of a shoe size where I can go into a store and buy shoes.  I don't know if it is in the cards for me,  I wore a size 11 in high school and at a normal weight, but now I wear a 12/13 wide, and would sure love to be back at a size 11.

I'd love to hear your stories of shrinking feet to fuel my motivation.  :)

Thanks in advance for sharing.

Not sure how much you have to lose but after only losing 50 lbs my shoes are too big. Sneakers have to be pulled really tight to make them narrow enough and they are still a tad too long. I will need to go shoe shopping after the holidays. Not sure yet if we are talking a whole size down or just a half a size and narrower. But yes your shoe size will change.

Interesting as you lost a lot of weight. Learned something new tonight! I would have thought just taking weight off the feet would have made them narrower. Proves we are all different.

I agree mine went from an 11-12 wide to a 10 med with my 150 lb weight loss. Now I gotta buy new shoes too. Ain't life grand?!

Shoe sizes do change fairly often, but I wouldn't bet on it. I was a 14 4E before, and still am. I wouldn't spend a lot on shoes until you find out for sure.

I went from an 8 1/2 to a 7 1/2. I don't know how or why they got smaller, but they did.  My shoes were falling off my feet as I got closer to goal.

Definitely wait n see as far as the shoe size thing goes. For me I did go down in width which was a wide but now it's regular. Normally I'm still a size 10, but I might get away with a 9 & 1/2. I think it really depends on the manufacturer. Some run small, others big, etc etc. It'll be fun to try out new sizes in the meantime though.

Mine changed.. From 10 to 9.5 .... Then a few years later I am back to 10 - 10.5... With only 20lbs bounce back regain..

So don't give away some shoes even if your feel shrink.  Just in cases.
