To Straw or Not to Straw...That is the Question!

I was given icewater with a straw the day I had surgery. If I was not allowed straws, I doubt I would ever hit my liquid goals, even 9 months post-op it seems easier to drink with a straw than without.

Update...I used a straw all day yesterday without issues.  I'm so happy that I am one of the lucky ones that isn't affected by the air.  Especially now that I picked up a cold and really need the extra water!
