Foamies?

I went to my office building's holiday luncheon today and ate a quarter of my favorite sandwich -- triple decker layered with tuna salad and egg salad on crustless soft rye bread. I took off the top bread but ate the rest. I wanted more because it is so delicious, but I knew anything more would be too much. I wrapped the other half of my half sandwich and the dark chocolate covered strawberries. I will have the strawberries for my snack tonight and the rest of the sandwich tomorrow.
My question is about foamies. I almost threw up when I was about 3 months out after eating part of a hot pretzel. It was undoubtedly the foamies.
Now about 15 minutes after eating, I am so congested and cannot stop coughing. My stomach feels fine, I'm more full than usual, but not uncomfortable or nauseous. It is not a cold or allergies, almost like when my nose runs when I've had one too many bites, but my nose is not running. I have had bread before without this reaction. Maybe because the bread was so soft and delicious. I am 18 months out, so the newness of this feeling is very weird.

It went away within 15 - 30 minutes. I think it was pre-foamies, because I walked it off and am all better now.

You ate enough so that your sleeve was pressing up against the Vagus Nerve. The symptoms you felt was a result of vagus nerve stimulation. Here's a link to some quirky facts about the vagus nerve: 9 Nervy Facts About the Vagus Nerve!
