4 days post-op...How can I make the full liquids stage a little less boring?
OMG, you guys, I am so desperate for something to chew and I'm not getting enough calories in. My surgeon requires 3 weeks of full liquids. I won't be able to eat purees until December 31 st and real food 2 weeks later.
Please share anything you came up with that made full liquids more bearable. Full liquids for me meant just adding cream of wheat, pudding, shakes and yogurt. I've always loved dairy, but it's not agreeing with me...neither is the protein powder (whey) that I was fine with pre-surgery. If I've developed lactose intolerance and sensitivity to whey, I'm going to be so limited. And I know a lot of people don't believe that you can be genuinely hungry this soon out, but I swear I am freaking hungry!

It sounds like you're having some terrible head hunger. Do you have a therapist who is well qualified in WLS-related issues?
If your stomach is rumbling, it's probably just acid. That feeling can mimic hunger.
As far as the full liquids stage goes, sugar free popsicles were (and still are) my best friend.
I was starving and it was all head hunger. Now that I've experienced something closer to real physiological hunter, it's different. I also had trouble with dairy out of the gate unless it was pre-made shakes. For whatever reason, the powders bugged me. I actually ate a lot of yogurt and SF popsicles. The popsicles are swell for wanting to chew something.
I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!

Full liquids are really limiting. There is only so much you can do. If you want to make it more exciting, I'd recommend taking a shake and some pudding and hitting ladies' night at your local strip club. You'll forget head hunger for sure.

Look up some soup recipes online. There are so many you can have. I made homemade split pea and pureed the heck out of so no chunks and froze it in 1/2 cup plastic containers so when I wanted some I just pulled a container out of the freezer.
I also found a recipe that mimics Panera Breads Autumn Squash Soup. OMG- heaven! I need to make it again. You should be able to have tomato soup (if you like it) just thin it down a bit more. I have to have variety which has caused me to be creative and that full liquid stage flew by.

Yup. Full liquids are boring. The only thing I can think of beyond the list you suggested is cream of broccoli or cream of "other veggie" soups. I'd add a scoop of protein powder to them to get the protein in.
People do interesting things with protein shakes as well, but I don't have much expertise on that, as my tummy wouldn't tolerate sweet drinks after surgery.
Hang in there. It will all be a distant memory soon!
