2 Month Surgiversary
Today marks my 2 month anniversary. Two months ago I followed through on a life changing decision and got my VSG. I AM SO HAPPY I DID THIS ! ! ! ! !
I weighed in today at 236.2 which is a total of 43 pounds gone forever. I honestly cannot remember a time in my life when I was at this weight. I stumbled though a lengthy stall this month however; am still down 11 pounds. Not bad for month 2 especially considering how long that darn scale sat at the same number. My goal for the rest of the month is to see a 220 something on the scale by New Years Eve.
Aside from the numbers, I FEEL amazing. I have so much more energy. I am in control (most times) of myself and what I put into my body. I get up and walk at least 1.5 miles most mornings. I am making nutrition decisions that are GOOD for me without even thinking about it. The list goes on...
I look forward to continuing on my journey, learning about and seeing the new Suzy who emerges. Thank you for all of the support I receive here. From your comments to your own posts and stories...I appreciate it all.

I am so happy for you! Your doing awesome too! It really does feel good to have pounds gone forever. I am so into thinking about losing them I haven't thought about them being gone forever. That is a great feeling! I have been on a stall for a while now but I know it will change soon. I see things I want to eat and after two bites know I really don't want it. You are doing great!
Congratulations! You're doing great, keep up the good work.

It is such a journey, eh? I liken it to having a newborn for the first time. The first couple of weeks turn your world upside down and for all the right reasons. You begin to measure time by days at first, and then weeks. (My baby is 9 days old, 3 weeks old...) A little more time passes and you learn so much more, and begin to see a joy from a different perspective. Time slowly begins to be measured in months, much like your 2 month surgiversery. Then comes the 1 year mark- a major milestone. A time for reflection, and a time to make a plan to move forward. Time begins to be measured in longer increments, and slowly evolves into simply reducing referring to the journey by year.
You are on the right path Suzy, enjoy every minute of it!
