I called my surgeons office and asked if the psych eval had to be completed by a psychologist or psychiatrist; she told me it did not matter but the evaluation had to include certain components. I had done a lot of research on this and if go to a psychologist, you will likely have testing and an interview to complete. Typically they use the MMPI for the testing. However, if you see a psychiatrist, you will only have an interview. The psychiatrist was the way for me to go because of the expense. I only had a copay for the psychiatrist. If I would have gone to the psychologist, it would have cost me about 250.00. I don't know anything about having the evaluation online but I thought I would provide you with this information.
