Howdy! Day 4
Each day gets a little better. Still no real pain.(still no pain meds) Stomach feels like I've done a bunch of sit ups but not as sore today. I am managing to get all of the clear liquids down. There is the issue of every sip I take, it makes me belch. no matter how small the sip. Anyone else have this? How long does it last?
I measure everything I drink in a one ounce shot glass so I know exactly what I'm getting down every 15 minutes. I've been sipping broth, crystal ligh****er down sugar free juice, popsicles and of course water.
Today I'm starting back on the elliptical. I really am feeling much better than I thought I would at this point.I am not one to just lay around but I also know my limits and am not pushing harder than I should.
Have a great day!

I am so glad that you have had an uneventful surgical process. The drinking in a bit of air is common and will lessen with time. I would wait on the elliptical until you are cleared for exercise by your doctor. I was only allowed walking. Remember you have just gone through major surgery. Your body is healing.

The elliptical puts to much torsion on your core. You should only be walking for the first 6 weeks, until you're fully healed.

Great to hear you're feeling so good. Be careful about overdoing it physically. I was feeling pretty fabulous 4-5 days after surgery. Decided to go for my usual mile or so walk....next morning...I felt like someone had stabbed me with a hot poker in my abdomen every time I tried to stand. The first few steps were agonizing. It took several days for it to go away. Called my surgeon and was reminded I had just had major surgery and that although I needed to walk, to be careful it to overdo. Keep on keeping on!
