Surgery on 10/22/2015
I had the sleeve on 10/22/2015. Before surgery I was 230 pounds today I am 215 pounds. My hubby has the same surgery in 2014 and he is down 150 pounds.
I am unable to drink the required 48 ounces of liquid and I am unable to be moved to stage 4 due to this. I simply am not thirsty and I can only get two spoons of soup into my mouth and then the pain begins. Like an elephant is sitting on my chest.
I can't get used to be ready to eat and having to be full in less than two mins. I brokedown a few times to my hubby asking if I did the right thing.
It has to get better...right?
You may want to check in with your surgeon. It shouldn't be that difficult to get liquids in. I'd get checked out asap.

Yes, I would contact your surgeon. I had surgery 10/8/15 and have absolutely no problems getting in liquids. I've only felt the elephant feeling twice. Both times I was eating dense protein in a restaurant so didn't weigh my food and probably ate too fast/too much.
Hope things get better for you!

you don't have to be thirsty to drink or hungry to eat. You just do it. Just like you go to work even when you don't want to go. And do any number of other things you may not "want" to do. It is not about what you want to do but what you have to do.
Not ot only have you lost no appreciable weight, but your body is going to start cannibilizing your muscles, heart, lungs kidneys, etc which are made of protein in the body,to get the protein. You are not eating.
This is a serious matter and I would be hell bent for leather getting it down, instead of whining about what I can't do.
