I ease up on myself for certain days, pretty much what the other op said, days like Thanksgiving, Christmas, my birthday, & I'd throw in New Years too. Not really a day of mindless eating, but mindful eating & on those days when I don't write down what I eat I at least write down things like Party or Break day so I'd know that I went way off plan those days.
Not much to confess, went over my calorie count, but it was mostly more protein, but it was breaded, too many caramel gin gins candy & I just had to have my shot of Patron & Jim Beam apple whiskey, ok 2 shots. Darn they were good, can I say darn? You know I want to say Dam*

Hagalicious, your honesty alone absolves you of your transgressions. But I would advise more careful planning and recording of the party/break days. If too many pile up, calamitous pounds may start to pile up too. Be careful, my child.
"Darn" is an acceptable substitute for the d-word.
